This year’s HiLumi LHC Collaboration Meeting has begun! A big welcome from us to everyone attending!
Collaboration members have descended on Royal Holloway, University of London, for the 16th edition of our annual meeting! The Collaboration Board took place this morning, and then the plenary sessions began with welcomes from Royal Holloways Pro-Vice-Chancellor Emma Mayhew and CERN Director-General Mark Thomson!
Today’s agenda gave us updates from CERN and many of our international collaborators: the US Accelerator Upgrade Programme, KEK, INFN, CIEMAT, the Institute of High Energy Physics (IHEP), TRIUMF, and STFC. We heard overviews about the interaction region magnets, the IT String test stand, and the crab cavities, with each overview offering a taster of the discussions to come over the next days! And we even managed to round up all 170 participants for a group picture.
