Part of Picture Gallery Composer-in-Residence Scheme
We are pleased to showcase the newest cohort of the Picture Gallery Composer-in-Residence Scheme, presenting new music inspired by our beautiful Picture Gallery and its collection. Curated by Director of Composition Nathan James Dearden and College Arts Collection Team, we are thrilled to showcase the six successful applicants and their new works written especially for the applauded Choir of Royal Holloway, under the guidance of their conductor Rupert Gough.
This year the composers have been tasked to collaborate with poets and creative writers from the Department of English, creating and setting prose specifically written for individual paintings in our gallery.
This event is part of the Choir of Royal Holloway's Sunday Sounds Series.
