Crash course for new UGs to boost Maths skills needed for QM1
The Maths Bootcamp is a three day course, running during the first week of teaching - see below for a schedule of sessions. It is available for all undergraduate students needing a boost in their mathematical skills before embarking on the quantitative aspect of their course.
The course is especially recommended for students without an A Level in Mathematics, as these students usually face particular struggles with the Quantitative Methods courses which are compulsory in year 1 and year 2 of their degree.
Provided within the course are 9 distinct sessions, all concerning different aspects of mathematics that will be useful to Economics students. It is worth attendees setting aside the time to come along to all 9 sessions. Here is a schedule of the three days:
