Tim Etchells, Artistic Director of the world-renowned, Sheffield-based performance ensemble Forced Entertainment (www.forcedentertainment.com) will be in conversation with Dick McCaw about the group’s ground-breaking work. Dick has been a keen supporter of the company’s practice over the years and will frame the discussion via a selection of his favourite moments. Taking these recollections as a starting point Tim and Dick will discuss aspects of the performances in question: how they were created, their reception, and their place in the group’s body of work. Lasting just over an hour this session promises to be a lively informal introduction to the work of one of Britain’s longest standing performance collectives.
