Anthony Carey is an experienced higher education governance professional. He has held Council and committee leadership roles at Cranfield University, the Higher Education Academy, and Lancaster University. He has a longstanding association with Royal Holloway as an Honorary Visiting Professor and member of the Business School’s International Advisory Board.
A Chartered Accountant and Chartered Director, Anthony is Senior Adviser, Board Practice and Public Policy at Forvis Mazars, where he was previously a partner. He also holds voluntary non-executive roles, including Trustee and Chair of the Investment Committee at the Margaret Beaufort Institute of Theology and Treasurer and Trustee of the Royal College of Ophthalmologists.
