Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law
Professor Christos Tsinopoulos was appointed Dean of the Faculty of Business and Law in 2025, having joined Royal Holloway, University of London, as Executive Dean of the School of Business & Management in September 2022.
Professor Tsinopoulos is an experienced academic leader who has held senior roles focusing on strategic growth through effective academic leadership, business development, and external engagement. Prior to joining Royal Holloway, he was Associate Dean for External Engagement at Durham University Business School, where he led its executive education and business engagement activities. He worked closely with businesses and other organisations to strengthen partnerships and create opportunities for professional learning and knowledge exchange. He also served as Head of the Department of Management and Marketing during a period of significant change, when a new faculty structure was implemented.
At Royal Holloway, Christos has led several important initiatives to enhance the student experience and strengthen the University's links nationally and internationally with business and industry. He has been overseeing the development of Royal Holloway's Central London campus in Bloomsbury, expanding opportunities for engagement with employers, alumni, and professional networks. He has also championed the introduction of the University's accelerated business degree, broadening study options for students and supporting innovative approaches to business education. More broadly, he has worked to strengthen the School's external partnerships and ensure that teaching and research remain closely connected to the needs of employers and society.
As Professor of Operations and Project Management, his research focuses on how organisations and supply chains can improve innovation and sustainability. His work has been published in leading journals, has informed both business practice and public policy, and has been funded by both business and government.
Christos holds a PhD from the University of Warwick and Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Sheffield. He has also served the wider academic and professional community through leadership roles, advisory positions, and visiting professorships in Europe, the United States and China.
