International Concert Series 2026-27
As an All-Steinway School, Royal Holloway is delighted to welcome Steinway & Sons to campus for a day of workshops and musical activities with students from the University and local schools. This special masterclass brings acclaimed pianist and Steinway Artist Martin Roscoe together with a selection of Royal Holloway's own student pianists, offering an opportunity to hear them work on their repertoire and explore questions of interpretation, technique and performance.
With a career spanning the world's major concert halls and an extensive discography, Martin Roscoe is one of Britain's most respected pianists and teachers. This masterclass offers a chance to experience his approach to working with young musicians at close quarters.
Our performers
With an extraordinary career spanning over five decades, Martin Roscoe is unarguably one of the UK’s best loved pianists. Renowned for his versatility at the keyboard, Martin is equally at home in concerto, recital and chamber performances. His enduring popularity and the respect in which he is universally held are built on a deeply thoughtful musicianship and his easy rapport with audiences and fellow musicians alike. Martin is Artistic Director of Ribble Valley International Piano Week and the Manchester Chamber Concerts Society, and has recently stepped down as Co-Artistic Director of the Beverley Chamber Music Festival.
