The Messy Coach: The Joyful PhD
Rediscover joy, motivation and clarity in your research journey with this transformative workshop! This session is designed to help you reconnect with the motivating, meaningful aspects of your research and guide you in making the best, aligned decisions for both your PhD and your wider career aspirations.
We’ll explore three key dimensions of joy:
The joy of research – Reflect on the value and societal impact of your research; and the elements within your PhD that are most inspiring and pleasurable for you.
The joyful research experience – Look back on the most energising, motivating aspects of your research journey, and begin to consider how your skills, experiences, personal and professional development open diverse options within your PhD and for future career paths.
The joyful life – Examine your core values and use these as a guide for building the life you want to lead, both during and beyond your PhD.
We will conclude by bringing these elements together to create your personalised roadmap for decision making and action planning - in your research, career and personal life.
