The training course would take place on 26, 27, 28 April + 2, 3 May at University of Roehampton. Course participants must be able to attend each of the 5 days.
Developed originally in France, 'Elicitation' is used to guide interviewees towards the articulation of 'tacit' or embodied knowledge. It has been used in a range of contexts from social sciences and pedagogical settings, to architectural and arts based practice. It deals with the articulation of lived experience. Therefore it could be of great use for a number of TECHNE projects. There is a body of literature to support its effectivity and lots of interesting examples of its application (see bottom of email for further info).
In order to utilise the interview methods, you must have undergone a rigorous 5 day training course with an elicitation expert in the interview methods and analysing responses. This training typically is delivered in France (and usually in French, and at great expense!). HOWEVER...Dr Anne Cazemajou is an elicitation expert who delivered a course at University of Roehampton in 2015, which was very well received by its participants.
