Please register here, choosing Techne student ticket option: https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/from-surviving-to-thriving-tickets-411146920507

This course will run across 5 x 2-hour online workshops, ideally you should be able to attend all 5 to register. They will run from 1pm to 3pm on 1st, 8th, 15th, 22nd February and 1st March 2023.

While a joyful curiosity might be the fuel of research, doing it day-to-day can be really tough. The purpose of this programme is to help researchers move – even just a little bit – from a sense of merely surviving within the research process to thriving within it. To do that, in a welcoming, safe environment, the programme covers the essentials of 5 topics in 2 hour sessions: Developing Your Resilience; Managing Your Procrastination; Increasing Your Productivity; Cultivating Your Happiness; being an Emotionally Intelligent Researcher. Eschewing the hyperbole of the self-help industry, this programme provides participants with practical tools and strategies grounded in the psychological literature to help you do your research and nurture your wellbeing just a little bit better. This programme is, then, for ‘the brightest and the stressed’: those who are both curious to learn and want practical strategies.

Join training provider Matt Lane and a group of students from across Techne and two other AHRC DTPs (Midlands 4 Cities and North West Consortium) for this course.
